Well I have prepared my research proposal with budget updated. I hope I get in because this is a very competitive thesis paper I am putting together!
In other news I was slightly worried that I would not be able to pass my second exam. Chemistry isn't my favorite subject but because this is Biology I manage to pass it with a solid B. I was worried because I did not do well on the short answer portions but I was very happy that I did really well on the multiple choice questions. That really helped maintain my expected grade for the class. I am more worried about the final exam which is comprehensive. I have two more days to prepare for my Ancient Egypt class (exam is on Wednesday). I still have a couple of readings to do...
Also I need to prepare my presentations for my other Archaeology class. I should set up the questions soon after not being able to get a hold of my class partner...not fun. I have to start the presentation on April 1 without him.
Now that classes start again tomorrow I really feel like wanting a few more days of break so I can finish my mask for the Banquet. That talk will be saved there: http://perlesonne.blogspot.com/
Any artistic work, make up, food and photography go in there. I will present my mask in my other blog. ;)

Research Opportunity
The past week I recieved an opportunity that unfolded itself to me. Originally, I was going to a Field School in Spain to earn academic credit. I was recommended by several professors to recieve a research grant to help cover the cost of the program provided that I come up with a research topic. I went through this advice and spoke to the directors of the program and they were very willing to help me with my work. Instead of 20 days doing field work, I will spend 40 days in Spain in the summer for research...I am surprised and happy to not take advantage of the situation.
To those who are unfamiliar what Field School is, a Field School is a prepatory trainning course for students who are in the Archaeology major. It's where future Archaeologists learn the basics of excavation techniques, record keeping, digs, lab work, etc. It is a professionally scientific field even though we are lumped together with Liberal Arts...sad I know...
I have been busy this whole semester in helping out with the International Banquet coming up. I am re-working on my national costume and hope that it will be the best I ever made because there is going to be a little addition to my work but it won't be revealed until the day of the Banquet. I am also swamped with work especially in course work. I am doing well so far in most of my classes but this one particular class I have a slight trouble keeping up. I'll do my best but I expect to get a B from this class..even though my assignments will be handed very late... :(

First Post
Hello, welcome to my blog. I will be using this blog as a learning experience on my interests (in the formm as hobbies) and my educational career. I am an aspiring archaeologist and I hope to finish my degree by December 2010. I speak 3 languages, Spanish and English fluently and took one year of conversational German. My goal for my degree is to enter a field into Computational Archaeology or work into conservation depending on what options are in store for me.
I plan to be able to further my education in Europe which is where my regional focus will be. There will be times I blog about other things and I will label them as such. I will keep this blog as professional as possible as well as write down my experiences as I go through my last year in my University (technically, I am 2nd semester Junior currently).
